Movement Freedom Coaching

12 Weeks to Build Your Own Movement Freedom System™ and Make Better Progress in Less Time, Without the Grind

Aaron here!!

Stoked you're interested in coaching.

Here's the quick-and-dirty summary for you:

Movement Freedom Coaching is for adults over 35 who have felt stuck with their movement practice, acro skills or flexibility - and finally want a simple training plan that produces reliable progress even when life gets busy.

I've been coaching for 15 years now. 10 in person and the past 5 exclusively online.

And this is what I've learned:

You're never too old for this shit!

Kanti is 81, doing ring muscle-ups and improving his handstands with us.

Our student Katy is 60 and today she's literally tumbling and somersaulting circles around her peers after 20 years away from sport.

David started with us at 44. He is 6 foot 4 and his macaco attempts didn't exactly scream "future movement wizard." Today at 46 he's unlocked square macacos, aerials, full splits, backwards cartwheels and now he's working on his cheat gainer.

The point is: you can still build astonishing movement freedom, even later in life. But it doesn't happen by accident.

What is the Movement Freedom System™?

The MFS is the result of wrestling with this question for 15+ years:

How can normal adults learn badass skills without requiring crazy amounts of time, fancy equipment or sacrificing health and longevity along the way?

In simple terms: how can we make badassery doable?

Only when I started working together with a Dr. of Physical Therapy, the answers finally started coming together in the Movement Freedom System™.

The Movement Freedom System: Grow Skills, Build Capacity, Adapt Resilience

Most frameworks focus on a single pillar:

It's useful to collect different exercises. But a collection of exercises doesn't solve the problem of a scattered practice: when the parts aren't talking to each other, some parts get neglected, others overloaded, practice time keeps going up and progress eventually plateaus around the weakest link.

With the Movement Freedom System we harmonize all pillars - in as little as 90 minutes practice per week.

This is how we make progress feel easy again in 12 weeks

1. First we set up your Movement Avatar™

This is a whole body assessment where we record your strength, flexibility, skills, recovery patterns, injury history and movement restrictions, so we can see exactly where you are and what's blocking progress.

The Movement Avatar radar chart across strength and flexibility skills

The Movement Avatar™ is often the first time our students get an accurate snapshot of their starting place and weak links - and now they have a tool that accurately measures progress for the coming months and years.

2. Next you pick the 1-2 skill branches you want to improve this quarter

Soft Acro Skill Map: six families, seventeen branches, 140 skills
Don't worry, you're not locked in. We just need a starting place to show you the ropes - later you'll learn how to improve all the branches you care about.

3. Then we build your skill path inside the Movement Freedom App

In our 1:1 onboarding call we design your tailored training plan. We lock in your 3 lifetime personal best targets for this quarter - and you're off to the races with our custom-built MFS Student App.

Out of 100s of exercises, we choose the best conditioning and skill exercises that fit your movement avatar, skill level and schedule.

Now training starts to feel simple again. You'll know what to practice, why you practice it, and how to track consistent progress week after week.

4. Next we add your personal Resilience Routine

Your progress is only as resilient as your weakest link. In a 1:1 call with our Doctor of Physical Therapy, Sam, you'll get your five unique resilience movements that are specific to your body, injury history and skill goals.

This is where we address old pains, nagging aches, or that weak link that kept holding you back.

The 5 Steps of the Resilience Routine: Assess, Discover, Approach, Program, Track

And this is how you keep getting better week after week

We don't send you off with a rigid training plan you're supposed to quietly follow.

Instead you'll upload your training clips and get exact feedback in a detailed video analysis - every week.

We help you solve every roadblock as it comes up. That means with every practice, your training plan is getting more and more personalized.

After 12 weeks, your practice will feel simpler, lighter, and you'll make more progress than you ever have - at least that's what our student Elaine said:

Elaine Tai

"With the Movement Freedom System I've made more progress in acrobatics in the last couple months than I've ever made working with any other program - and I learned how to work with my injuries and pain so that I can continue to train and progress instead of being afraid."

- Elaine Tai, MFS Student

You'll also get the complete MFS Foundations Course, learn to use D.R.L. to progress, how to track D.A.T.A. for skills, and create N.O.V.E.L. skill ladders when you're stuck.

And we connect you to all our other students from around the world who're on the same journey as you.

The whole package makes it virtually impossible not to get better.

Is this for you?

I don't want to give you the wrong idea about who this coaching is for. It's not for everyone. Here are the 3 types of movers we've found the Movement Freedom System is the best fit for:

1. Adult hobby practitioners - over 35 years old with at least 3+ years of training experience, who feel stuck after the beginner gains or don't want to stay lifetime intermediates. Passionate movers who often practice in a community or keep learning online, but sense they're missing key pieces that would make the practice more fun and rewarding again.
2. Coaches, teachers, physiotherapists and health/fitness providers - who want to lead by example, stand out, and inspire their students by improving their own skillset. Highly committed professionals who see this as a path to developing their identity and career.
3. Aspiring teachers or performers - considering a career in the movement industry, wanting to know if they have what it takes to professionalize their training and turn their passion into a career. Includes a small sub-group of professional performers brushing up specific skills.

What all groups have in common: they already know that movement is a big part of their lives. The coaching is not for complete beginners. It's for practitioners who want to build a resilient, science-based practice for years to come.

Q&A

"I already have a packed schedule and not a lot of time for calls. Will it work for me?"

There are only two mandatory 45-minute 1:1 calls. You can schedule them freely in the first 2 weeks. And the support from our Dr. of Physical Therapy alone should save you plenty of future healthcare visits. Everything else happens asynchronously and in your own time. Most students experience cutting their conditioning time in half - all workouts can be completed in 20-minute chunks, without any equipment. Our busiest students teach or run businesses, and they're often grateful for how easily they can slot their practice into a lunch break or in-between clients.

"I just don't like online training. I need to do in-person training or join group classes."

If you really cannot follow a regular practice without an in-person coach, then this program is not for you. Many of our students had that problem in the past - and they eventually plateaued in classes. The ones who got over that plateau found successful workarounds like joining 'open gym/open mat' time at a local club to do their programmed practice, or adding our structured work after their own group class. Some students do regular 1:1s with other trainers for accountability, but use our coaching and programming feedback to improve the finer details.

"I want better mobility and to learn [insert dream skill] - but I also want to keep doing my calisthenics/lifting/climbing/MMA/running. Do I have to follow your plan exclusively, or can I also add my own practice?"

We help round out your entire movement practice - we're not here to forbid any way of moving. Our goal is to help you get better at what you care about. To build resilience, increase strength and flexibility, and progress your skill training, we ask for at least 2 hours. If you already have a calisthenics practice, we'll show you exactly where and how it fits in, so you don't do 'double work' or risk getting injured.

So the short answer is: Yes! We build the plan around your needs and goals.

"I am from a country with a weak currency / I am a student - do you have a better rate for me?"

We have different coaching packages for different needs. But if you're looking for a bargain, I've built the AcroBody Community for that reason. You can message me about it separately. ;)
